I’m not surprised to find myself typing these words — Google, along with several other tech companies, has begun yet another round of layoffs in the early months of 2024.
I’ve noticed a concerning trend on my LinkedIn feed — many of my connections who were part of the Google workforce are now openly sharing news about their recent layoffs.
For instance, take a look at this LinkedIn post from one of my connections (identity concealed for privacy reasons). It’s truly disheartening, to say the least.
It seems like the trend of large-scale layoffs is continuing, and this time, Google is at the center of it.
